The story behind the practice
It's Just Yoga.
No performance. No pressure. Just breath, movement, and the rare chance to be fully present — with yourself, or with someone new.
How it started
It's Just Yoga was born from a simple belief: that yoga is most powerful when it's personal. Not a class of forty. Not a livestream. A real, human experience — tailored to you, held by someone who actually sees you.
I started teaching privately after years of watching students leave group classes feeling unseen. The practice was there, but the connection wasn't. So I stripped it back. One student, one teacher, one hour of genuine attention.
The Yoga Date Package came later — a natural extension of the same idea. If yoga can deepen your relationship with yourself, why not with another person? We match solo clients by studio, by energy, by intention. The mat does the rest.
The philosophy
Presence over performance
Every session is designed to bring you into your body, not out of your head. We move slowly, breathe deeply, and leave the ego at the door.
Connection as practice
Whether you're practicing alone or with a matched partner, the goal is the same: genuine contact. With your breath, your body, another person.
No two sessions alike
Private yoga means your practice is yours. We adapt to where you are — physically, emotionally, energetically — every single time.
Two cities, one practice
It's Just Yoga operates in Chicago and Copenhagen — two cities with very different rhythms, and the same need for stillness.
Chicago, IL
Based in the heart of the city, our Chicago practice serves clients across neighborhoods. Sessions take place in private studios and select partner spaces throughout the North Side.
Available Monday – Saturday, 9am – 7pm
Copenhagen, Denmark
Our Copenhagen practice brings the same intimate, unhurried approach to Scandinavia. Sessions are available in central Copenhagen and select studio partners.
